Sacred to the Memory of Matilda, daughter of
William and Phillis BURGESS who died January
16th 1845 aged 17 years. Also,
of the above William BURGESS who died May
20th 1865 aged 61 years. Left surviving a widow
and 8 children viz:--Sarah, Philadelphia, William,
Jane, Samuel, Hannah, Esther and James. Also,
of Phillis, his wife, who died November 26th
1873 aged 70 years. Also, of Hannah, their
daughter, who died May 24th 1868 aged 31
years.
Boast not thyself of tomorrow for thou knowest
